I see many games played on the street, especially on sundays. These two sets of sisters were playing a jumping game with what looked like a several long rubber bands cut apart, stretched, and tied to themselves to form a ring.
I’m not sure, but it looked like while the garter is stretched around two people you stand on one end but jump onto the other, but I feel like I am missing something. They called it “Chinese Garter”.

Can you figure out which pairs were the sisters?

Actually, I used to play this as a child, but we made a chain of rubber bands to do it. Great posts!
Ian! I used to play this as a kid! So awesome a throwback; I haven’t seen it around since I was little. There’s a specific order that jumping needs to be done. It goes in, out, side, side, on, in, out. And once each player masters one level, the rubber band ring goes higher and higher on the two people holding it–making it harder as the game progresses. The girl jumping in the ring is pretty good! Another related past-time as a kid was MAKING the jump ropes (or garters); you can get pretty elaborate and creative. I will have to show you how I used to do mine!
After checking out the video clip of the two sisters jumping, I wonder if they’re jumping a different chant. It looks like it. Astrid (of the previous post), how did you do this as a kid? Was there a particular way of jumping?
Awesome, thanks for the info. I’ll try your method ros and see if they either declare me grandmaster or yell at me for messing it all up!
